If the BAMF (Migration Office) rejects your asylum request (Ablehnung), you have 2 options to react:
↓
You accept the decision and return to your home country (If you decide to return, there may be the possibility of getting financial aid. Please consider our article here).
↓
Or you appeal the negative decision:
- Consider the deadline to appeal which counts from the date on you have received the notice.
- Get free legal advice at Eine Welt Haus: click here for the locations and opening hours.
- Get free legal advice at Refugee Law Clinic: click here for the locations and opening hours.
- Get a lawyer: the 1st appointment usually costs 300 euros (some lawyers accept the option of monthly payment agreement).
↓
Please note: When appealing the negative BAMF decision, you will not get a residence permit. Instead, you usually remain with the Aufenthaltsgestattung (see our article here) or receive the Duldung (deportation is temporarily suspended).
